After viewing these.
James Tissot, you are talent on loan from God.
Good Morning Dan, and happy ‘end of the week’ to all.
The more we study Tissot’s work, the more we see, and the greater appreciation I have.
We talked about his ability to convey perspective thru distance, by using crowds. Remarkable!
Thank You Dan !!
That certainly has been the process for me, also. When I began this series three years ago, I had never heard of Tissot. But I noticed him at once, and very quickly I realized how he stood out--for me--from all others.
As I consider it, it seems inevitable to me now that the Holy Spirit would raise up someone to illustrate the Bible so thoroughly and comprehensively. That is very much how I view The Chosen, too: in hindsight, inevitable.
For this Bible project, Tissot used a limited palette.
He stayed on course.
The path is narrow...
He certainly maintained a consistent style and approach, one that becomes instantly recognizable.
